Paul Ortez

I’ve been a State Farm Agent for most of my 37 year career in the insurance industry; all with State Farm. It was my first job after college, and over the years, my passion for helping people understand their coverage options has only grown. I’m proud to serve the residents of Ada, MI and the greater Grand Rapids, MI area, and I work with customers across the entire state of Michigan. From Auto Insurance for your daily commute to Homeowners Insurance for protecting where you live, as well as Life Insurance and coverage for small businesses, my office is here to help individuals and families review their options and feel confident in their choices. We’re based in Ada and also support customers in Cascade, Grand Rapids Township, Lowell, Alto, Middleville, East Grand Rapids, and surrounding communities.

Here in Ada, MI, my team is friendly, knowledgeable, and licensed, and we genuinely enjoy helping both new and longtime customers protect what matters most. I especially enjoy welcoming those who are new to the area. As someone who relocated to Michigan myself, I understand how important it is to have a local connection early on and a resource you can turn to for guidance and community insight.

My wife, who is also a State Farm agent, and I have built strong roots in this community over the years and stay actively involved. We have one grown child who graduated from the University of Michigan (Go Blue!). I grew up in San Diego, CA and earned my degree in Finance and Economics from California State University, Chico. While I moved to Michigan in 2001, it has long since felt like home. Living on the water has given me firsthand perspective on both the enjoyment and responsibilities that come with owning a home here, and when I’m not in the office, you’ll often find me out boating, wake boarding, or wake surfing.
